Kit has been working with stained glass for over twenty years. She creates many kinds of glass objects, from suncatchers to six-paned windows. She also paints and illustrates, and draws all her own glass designs. Her recent commissioned windows are in Ann Arbor, Southfield, Beaver Island, and Midland, Michigan, and Sebring, Florida. Kit loves the play of light through glass, and is investigating ways to make glass look fluid even though it is a brittle medium. Striving to do this through line, shape and design, she is "drawing" with glass. She works in her treehouse studio in her backyard.

Beth's ceramic work is inspired by fantastic imagery, organic and natural forms and real life people's faces. For the last several years she has explored this theme of the human form, (faces and figures) as have so many artists. The guidelines that she has given herself for this work include using positive facial expressions and funny juxtapositions, and using simple color combinations and surface treatments. Verdon started his art career early, working as the unofficial class artist in a small rural grade school in Michigan. After only one year of art school, life took him through a series of different career experiences. He returned to his original obsession by entering Wright State’s School of Fine Arts in 2001; he graduated in 2006. Verdon is a figurative painter. The walls of his studio are covered with evocative paintings and drawings of people. The Yellow Springs Arts Council is proud to partner with Antioch University Midwest (AUM) for a display representing the artistic heritage of the Village of Yellow Springs. Founded in 1992 by active members of the Arts Council, today there are over 125 pieces in the collection. YSAC continues to maintain the collection, which continues to grow.
