Jill Becker teaches modern dance and improvisation to many different ages and abilities with an emphasis on creativity and the overall health of students. She is available for choreographic commissions and enjoys collaborating with other artists. Becker is the recipient of a National Endowment for the Arts Choreographer's Fellowship. Becker directed the Dance Program at Antioch College from 2001-2008 and was Education Coordinator for YSKP from 2009-2014. She is on the faculties of Ohio Wesleyan University and Antioch College.

She has lost over 80 pounds on her hoop dancing journey, which started in April 2013. She believes being connected with the arts is akin to connecting with the universe around us. Cacky has been baking and decorating cakes, cookies, and candies since the age of 8. She uses organic ingredients wherever possible.

Kit has been working with stained glass for over twenty years. She creates many kinds of glass objects, from suncatchers to six-paned windows. She also paints and illustrates, and draws all her own glass designs. Her recent commissioned windows are in Ann Arbor, Southfield, Beaver Island, and Midland, Michigan, and Sebring, Florida. Kit loves the play of light through glass, and is investigating ways to make glass look fluid even though it is a brittle medium. Striving to do this through line, shape and design, she is "drawing" with glass. She works in her treehouse studio in her backyard.

Kateri Kosta threw her first pot in the hills of West Virginia in 1999, taught by Sr. Jane Omlor, a chainsaw-wielding magnificent mountain woman with a soulful, earthy connection to clay. Kateri's work is work often created using the pottery wheel, with bits of handbuilding thrown in for good measure. She mixes her own glazes and usually fires to cone 6 in an electric kiln. Kateri loves to teach beginners. Kateri Arts Pottery is for sale in several shops in Cincinnati and the surrounding area--Kateri and the pottery wheel transplanted from Cincinnati to Yellow Springs in May of 2013.

Miami Valley Pottery was founded in 2004 by Naysan McIlhargey, his wife Jalana Lazar and his stepdad David Mader. The focus of Miami Valley Pottery is hand made, functional, wood fired pottery. McIlhargey's apprenticeship at Cornwall Bridge Pottery initiated him into a long tradition of woodfire potters, and taught him the technical skills necessary to produce large quantities of functional ware. More importantly, it provided him with an understanding of what qualities distinguish a beautiful pot and a successful pottery.

The Village Artisans, a cooperative of local artists, was founded in the heart of historic Yellow Springs in 1983. Located in the Corry Street Shops, the Village Artisans provides Yellow Springs with unique handmade art at affordable prices. The Artisans' goal is to sustain interest and excitement for the arts through artwork, exhibits and demonstrations.In addition to a large selection of fine arts and fine crafts, each year they sponsor Art on the Lawn the second Saturday in August. This event is a juried outdoor show featuring handmade art from over 100 artists from all over the country." Gallery Open Every Day 12 - 5PM; excluding major holidays

Jonatha & Harold Wright, storytellers and authors, perform solo and tandem for all ages. Focus: Ohio, Japanese and Ohio Appalachian tales; Genre: folk and fairy tales, personal stories, spooky/terrifying tales, ecological, historical, literary and more. They perform at art museums, schools from pre-school to post graduate level, festivals, camps, retreats, hospitals, and more. They present a wide variety of workshops on storytelling techniques & styles and teach storytelling classes. Since 2008, their Yellow Springs Tale Spinners troupe has performed with the “Haunted Wagon Ride” at Young’s Dairy every October. They have many published books plus numerous compact discs & DVDs.

· I am willing to participate in curatorship (artist talks, gallery sitting, etc.) of my own shows.

Yellow Springs Art Exchange is a facebook group of local artists and people wanting to buy art. Artists may post pictures (or descriptions if not visual art) of their art and prices. Prospective buyers respond directly to the artist or in comments on the Facebook post. This group is a great way to make contact, collaborate, trade ideas and buy/sell handmade art.

The Yellow Springs Arts Council is proud to partner with Antioch University Midwest (AUM) for a display representing the artistic heritage of the Village of Yellow Springs. Founded in 1992 by active members of the Arts Council, today there are over 125 pieces in the collection. YSAC continues to maintain the collection, which continues to grow.
